Favorite Things Friday: June 21, 2019
All the Links We Loved This Week—For Both Dogs and Humans
Happy weekend, everyone! We took a few weeks off of Favorite Things Friday to move into our new place and get settled, but it feels SO good to be getting back to blogging and normal life. I’m no stranger to moving—four states and eleven apartments in the past ten years!—but this one really took it out of me.
I’m blaming being seven months pregnant and the two flights of stairs that split our townhouse into three floors, but I've honestly never been so exhausted in my life. Settling in here has felt like a weighted stair-climbing workout that never ends. Somehow every box seemed to end up on the wrong floor, and I think I’ve spent the past few weeks just racing up and down every day.
The dogs are loving the new space—especially our little patio where we’ve been grilling at night—and it’s fun to watch them settle in. Dave has already staked out his favorite sun spots for napping, and Lizzie has been enjoying some long walks around our new neighborhood with me.
You might notice that we’re trying a little something new with Favorite Things Friday—it’ll still be a round-up of our favorite dog-related links, but we’re mixing in a few of our favorite picks for people, as well as pups. So often, I find myself wishing we could share a great discovery that isn’t necessarily for dogs. After a lot of angst, we’ve decided making room for a handful of those finds in each Friday’s list. Love it? Hate it? Let us know in the comments or at email@example.com.
#1 Think Ink
Discovering that there are wayyyy too many fun and designy temporary tattoos at Inkbox, including so many cute dog ones.
#2 Swing Fever
Working hard to persuade Josh we need a swing on our patio and thinking maybe I’ve found The One with this beauty.
#3 Wall Power
Falling for Wallshoppe’s cute wallpaper collab with the Humane Society.
#4 Booze Hounds
Wondering how it took me this long to discover this (very handy!) website that helps you find dog-friendly wineries.
#5 the Bright Side
Deciding the pups need some of these fresh and summery designs.
#6 The Grass is Greener
Trying to decide how I feel about this service that lets dog owners rent a backyard for your dog.
#8 Feet First
Wanting to buy these cute doormats for all the Doodle moms in my life. (Also, that picture allllmost makes me wish it were fall.)
#9 Working like Dogs
Cheering for the trend of dog-friendly offices while reading this round-up of the most pup-loving workplaces.
#10 Pretty in Pastel
Hitting add-to-cart on these pretty pastel pup tees.
Introducing the redesigned “Elizabeth” crystals from Pearls for Pups Co., named after our very own Lizzie and also shown in the pic at the top of this post. ICYMI, all profits go to helping pups in need.
Have a great weekend!
