All the Links We Loved This Week—For Both Dogs and Humans

Edit-1.jpg

Happy weekend, everyone! We took a few weeks off of Favorite Things Friday to move into our new place and get settled, but it feels SO good to be getting back to blogging and normal life. I’m no stranger to moving—four states and eleven apartments in the past ten years!—but this one really took it out of me.

I’m blaming being seven months pregnant and the two flights of stairs that split our townhouse into three floors, but I've honestly never been so exhausted in my life. Settling in here has felt like a weighted stair-climbing workout that never ends. Somehow every box seemed to end up on the wrong floor, and I think I’ve spent the past few weeks just racing up and down every day.

The dogs are loving the new space—especially our little patio where we’ve been grilling at night—and it’s fun to watch them settle in. Dave has already staked out his favorite sun spots for napping, and Lizzie has been enjoying some long walks around our new neighborhood with me.

You might notice that we’re trying a little something new with Favorite Things Friday—it’ll still be a round-up of our favorite dog-related links, but we’re mixing in a few of our favorite picks for people, as well as pups. So often, I find myself wishing we could share a great discovery that isn’t necessarily for dogs. After a lot of angst, we’ve decided making room for a handful of those finds in each Friday’s list. Love it? Hate it? Let us know in the comments or at email@thedapple.com.

Replacing our generic (and chipped) mugs with these gorgeous, handmade ones from D.C.’s dreamy Salt & Sundry. They make it even more fun to hug my morning cup of coffee.
