Happy Friday, friends! So guess what… I’m bringing back Favorite Things Friday!
Tbh, I was waffling about whether to keep going with our weekly FTFs lists. They’re a lot of work and even though they get pretty good traffic, they’re never our most-visited content. So many of our visitors come from Pinterest (hi Pin-pals!), and these lists are less Pinnable than a recipe or shopping guide. And if I’m completely honest, sometimes I get a little self-doubty about how narcissistic it is to think everyone wants to hear what I’m loving every week—does that make sense?
But this week I took a little informal poll on Instagram and what I heard over and over was that you all reallllly love Favorite Things lists and miss them. (Which is honestly humbling and SO kind.) So… we’re bringing them back. Hopefully weekly or maybe semi-weekly, but they will be published somewhat on the reg.
In chatting with you all about our Favorite Things lists, it was a good reminder of why I wanted to publish these lists in the first place. Way back in 2017, when I started The Dapple at the kitchen table of our little Upper West Side apartment, I felt like there wasn’t a good way to discover creative, unique, or beautiful dog products, and I loved the idea of a weekly grab-bag of fun ideas that could surface both a great pup deal at Target or a fun dog-friendly hotel. It’s been truly so rewarding over the years, and a privilege to highlight the work of so many talented entrepreneurs—many of whom are now friends.
Anyway, all of that to say, FTFs will be here again for the foreseeable future, and I’ve so appreciated the kindness and encouragement this week. Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
