Hi, hello, and happy first Friday of 2022! With all the excitement of our book coming out this fall—and to be honest, some post-book exhaustion—our weekly Favorite Things lists went on a break that lasted wayyy longer than expected. But, you know, these lists were always supposed to be a fun add-on to our blog, so instead of beating myself up about that, I’m just trying to appreciate that I’m picking back up at a mental place where I actually feel excited to share my finds and thoughts.
And I really am! Even though we had back-to-back friend hangouts and family gatherings planned for the holiday week, a combination of a huge Seattle snowstorm and Omicron exposures among our friends meant that we ended up with basically a completely empty ten days, so we packed up Bridget and the dogs and headed off to Seabrook for an unplanned escape to beach walks and beautiful winter sunsets.
I literally have not felt so rejuvenated in a longgg time. It wasn’t the Christmas break I had planned, but it was honestly just what the doctor ordered after this crazy year.
